Our Trah Lah Lah is once described by a wine critic as “Bordeaux on Steroide”!

The Trah lah lah is a fanciful blend of Merlot and Cabernet that showcases the bold, dry fruits of an Atlantic, Old World wine. While, its fullness of body and flavorful subtleties are inspired by the Bordelaise tradition of wine-making, its rich texture and maturity are the results of the high trellis systems and work techniques of the New World.

A truly balanced work of art that brings some of the best qualities of red wines to the forefront with a firm taste, a fruit flavor that doesn’t cheapen the wine and a smooth and regretless finish.

Stranger Stranger 2011. DAMAGED LABEL

A heavenly, aromatic bouquet, led by rich, intense dark fruits and freshly polished leather, with baked plums and raspberry rounding off an endearing array of scents. The palate is broad; black cherry, damson and vanilla, with mild aniseed and velvety milk chocolate on the finish, which itself is of extraordinary length. A texturally addictive and hugely masculine mouthfeel really make one appreciate the full bodied presence of this wine. Rich, dense and oily in complexion, deep purple and opaque in colour.”  – Miles Simmons. drinkmemag.com –

Stranger Stranger 2015

“An incredible wine, from a brilliant producer, in an exceptional vintage. This Merlot really was singing!
A distinctive bouquet of inky dark fruits, freshly baked blackberry pie with vanilla ice cream, intense, yet elegant. This will have you swirling and sniffing for an eternity!
The mouth is explosive, with incredible intensity and depth of flavour. Black fruit initially, yielding to sweeter, jammy red fruits: raspberry and plum most noticeable.
Huge in body, perfectly rounded and well integrated tannins, even at this early stage of development, a linear acidity, dry and with a lengthy finish.
Absolutely beautiful, a really exquisite example of a Merlot, showcasing the brilliant 2015 vintage in France”.

Fleurs de Lys 2013

“A little closed initially but beautiful revelation after oxygenation.
Notes of red fruits, spice, pepper and garrigue.
The attack is frank and very silky at mid palate.
Its acidity will enhance the tannins to give a grand final.
A very well balanced wine despite his Sunny Mediterranean side: a wine from the South of France!
Despite the acidity of the 2013 vintage, the presence of a mature and very fine tannins gives this wine a beautiful structure that combines fruits and matter.
Drink now or keep 4/5 years.
Decant. Serve between 16° and 18°” – Georges Gracia, Master Sommelier –

Library Wine: Proprietor’s Reserve 2007

“Loads of menthol and pepper spice fill the nose, with a supporting fruit core of black cherry, black currant and wild raspberry. The texture is like crushed satin but the tannins, though fine grain, have good staying power. Mocha and cherry pits add character to the close. L.B. (3/1/2011) — 90″ – The Wine Enthusiast.

The reserve is our most daring wine, characterized by a long whole-berry fermentation in 500 litre oak barrels. Some people say this sort of “integral fermentation” creates wine with a totally different feel than traditional fermentation. It retains fruit like a carbonic maceration, but it’s not quite a carbonic maceration because there is some air that gets in through the pores of the wood and the barrel’s open top when we take our daily measurements on each barrel. The result has been described as sublime, hedonistic and every other good word there is.
One time, a customer asked me if I had ever tasted Screaming Eagle. He assured me that it was almost as good as our Reserve. I’ll leave it to you to decide if this is a legendary cuvée. But I know that I love it. Ryan O’Connell, Winemaker.

Library Wine: Les Américains 2006

“Delicious… My favorite… richly extracted, smooth brambly fruit, smoke, pepper, herb, crunchy tannins… an expressive finish that promises to develop...” – Henry Teitelbaum, Wall Street Journal Europe.

When we came to the Languedoc region, everybody talked about “Les Américains”.  We will always be Les Américains.  We knew this would be the cuvée that most people saw. It’s not as extreme as our flagship Proprietor’s Reserve, instead designed to be an ambassador to O’Vineyards. The wine that introduces people to our rigorous work ethic, our delicious wines, and (perhaps ironically) our love of France.

Les Américains is a Cabardès blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Our unique position so far inland in the Languedoc allows us to balance Mediterranean richness and spice with Atlantic-influenced structure and boldness. Les Amèricains has just enough richness and just enough austerity so that it is approachable to virtually all wine lovers.

“Pure fresh ripe plum and berry on the nose, and sweetly meaty on the palate. Vibrant fruit, fleshy and rounded.” – Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com.

Library Wine: O’Syrah 2006

“Quite a bloody nose with damsons by the bucket load. Richly spiced. Very ripe abundant fruit underlying some green pepperiness. Determined  tannins.” – Tamlyn Currin, JancisRobinson.com.

This is a rich, peppery Syrah full of warmth and spice. Leaving it in your mouth, you’ll feel pinpricks at the tip of your tongue. Reflecting the Mediterranean side of the Languedoc, the O’Syrah’s layers of deep fruit and its firm body can easily stand up against many of the warm Northern Rhone wines that we tend to focus on in the states.

This wine is a particular point of pride for my dad who created it despite the advice of our wine consultant who thought we were making a wine that was too “American”. One thing that we’re not ashamed of is to be creating wines that we like. New World wines from Old World vines. Ryan O’Connell, Winemaker.
