“The small, pretty and distinctive wine region…Cabardès just north of Carcassonne”
–Jancis Robinson, Vintner turns e-Author
“Really impressive.”

What is the book about?
O’Vineyards is located in the Cabardès region of France, minutes north of the historic medieval Cité de Carcassonne.
I’ve written this short ebook (24 pages) explaining what makes the Cabardes unique and fun.
The book includes a map of the Cabardes, a description of the appellation and our unique blend, an index of all the independent wineries in the appellation, a brief look at our geology and climate (terroir), and my personal philosophy concerning the region.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get interested about the Cabardes and the wines of Carcassonne.
Where can I find it?
Pretty soon, the book should be available in paperback or digital format from Amazon… but for the moment you can win an advance copy through my win the Wines of Carcassonne book contest.
Who wrote this thing?
That would be me. Ryan O’Connell, young winemaker at O’Vineyards. I’ve compiled this information that I think helps communicate the real nature of the Cabardes.
Why did you write this book?
I want to share the identity of my appellation and the wines of Carcassonne. It’s a really beautiful place, but it’s too small to be handled properly in reference materials with a larger scope. Since I’m out here in the fields, my scope is perfect for a very personal look at a misunderstood appellation. I hope you enjoy my point of view!
Can I see some sample pages?
Yes you may.
Who likes this book?
Casual travelers who know nothing about wine can still enjoy this book, my musings, and all the pretty photos.
Wine experts can enjoy this book too because it’s peppered with cool information that tends to be of interest to wine pros.
Jancis Robinson, editor of the Oxford Companion to Wine and one of the world’s foremost wine personalities, wrote a full article on the Wines of Carcassonne where she lauds my efforts.
