Lifting the wires at O'Vineyards with Muse

 

Never a dull moment at O Vineyards! Our Wonderful Muse has her Apron on to carry the clips, helping Joe to lift the wires in the Merlot…

The wires in the Syrah are lifted…and some Cabernet remains to be done!

It’s very hot…so let’s start as early in the morning as possible so we can stop before the 36°arrives!

This video shows how lifting the wires helps the grapes get more exposure to the sun which will help them reach full maturity by harvest time … delivering our yummy O’Vineyards 2017 wines!

Time just runs so fast! Tremendous growth within the past couple of weeks! Next thing you know we will be harvesting…Meanwhile there is still so much work to do in the field during the next six to eight weeks that we barely have time to eat and drink. ( OK I might exaggerate from time to time !! )

  1. Best by GPS.
    Follow the signs to Mazamet/ Villemoustaussou using the D118. At the end of the last straight part of D118, you will come to a roundabout with the Dyneff gas station.
  2. Take the exit towards Pennautier. Continue 500m to a small roundabout and go straight over.
  3. Look out for the second road on your right, Avenue des Cévennes which curves up hill (about 1km) to Avenue de la Montagne Noire on the left.
  4. At the last juction, bear left. the road sign “Ave de la Montagne Noire” (confusing as it seems to show a right turn)
  5. After another 500m you will see our red brick color building in the middle of the vines.
