“Quite a bloody nose with damsons by the bucket load. Richly spiced. Very ripe abundant fruit underlying some green pepperiness. Determined tannins.”

This is a rich, peppery Syrah full of warmth and spice. Leaving it in your mouth, you’ll feel pinpricks at the tip of your tongue. Reflecting the Mediterranean side of the Languedoc, the O’Syrah’s layers of deep fruit and its firm body can easily stand up against many of the warm Northern Rhone wines that we tend to focus on in the states.
This wine is a particular point of pride for my dad who created it despite the advice of our wine consultant who thought we were making a wine that was too “American”. One thing that we’re not ashamed of is to be creating wines that we like. New World wines from Old World vines.
